    Probably a good choice, slow growing, easy to maintain, all shapes and sizes available, perfectly hardy here.

    No downside, other than spider mites, but those pesky critters hate cinnamon and pepper sprays. Again, easy.
    Also tired of the current tree shedding a few dozen limbs with every strong breeze.

    Dropping sticks is only tolerated short term for me.
    Two neighbors have aging honey locust trees. Nothing big falls, but every time you look away, another inch diameter stick comes down often across a sidewalk.
