Mistakes are made. They do not seem to have very good proofreaders either. Maybe he did not even read the stuff before it got Into publication. Fired writer and resigned. One way to get out from under the gun so to speak.

I finally got around to reading that issue. Finished his article on the last page, uttered a profanity, and slammed it into the trash next to me. Today I see this thread. Wow.

Not just Metcalfe, but if I read the last 3 paragraphs correctly, the editor (the writer of the letter I assume) is gone as well and a new editor taking his place.

The article also states Metcalf was going to be replaced as of January 1st anyway.

Maybe, if he was going to post that article for a healthy discussion, he should have had another writer write up an article countering the first article. Then, it would have looked like he was going for a discussion.

I just got around to reading the article from the links posted. WOW!

It's like they brought him in directly from Moms Demand Action. Just the first couple paragraphs were so chopped full of their common rhetoric I couldn't make it any further without my eyeballs exploding.
