I think he is talking about before that.
The line moves. That's the problem.
Puh-lease. I called someone a coward (and he was) and got banned. I was "insulting" another member, so they say. You think people haven't said worse around here? Did they get banned for it? Yeah, right.
Think this should have been handled via PM, just a thought.Wow, really?
You complain more, and louder, about the staff here than other any single user. You've been temporarily banned once...for a perfectly legitimate reason: we are not allowed to insult each other here. Yes, 88GT, calling someone a coward is against the rules. You will get temp banned for it.
You constantly complain that the staff is inconsistent in how we enforce the rules, even playing favorites with some users. How would you have us resolve this? Believe it or not, just complaining about something on the open forum doesn't actually move us toward a solution...especially if you refuse to provide details! The other moderators and I are constantly telling people to report any posts that break the rules. I don't think I have ever seen a reported post from 88GT. I have even asked you to PM me with specific violations, complaints or issues you are having.
I am still waiting on that PM.
There are ten of us. All volunteer. All have vastly different backgrounds, outlooks, and perspectives. We do the best we can to stay on the same page with things, but there will always be some discrepancy in where the line is drawn on any given day, in any given forum. Always. The rest of the staff and I welcome any input you have, 88GT, because we really are trying to make INGO the best forum that we possibly can. Really.
So, please, 88GT. Either help us out or let it go. I am literally begging you.
I get it. I am merely the buddy stepping in to buy a beer......
I think he is talking about before that.
How did I know this would come up..........................

I think I want to hear more about this bunnyrabbit and mouse. So, a rabbit and a mouse walk into a bar...
I think I want to hear more about this bunnyrabbit and mouse.
Seriously, they are great guys and the only thing wrong is that it would be really great to be able to visit with both at the same time but that doesn't work out geographically.
Damn. How big is the bar?Seriously, they are great guys and the only thing wrong is that it would be really great to be able to visit with both at the same time but that doesn't work out geographically.

I have a question. I have noticed similar "patterns" (if you will) as 88GT has mentioned. Most of us have no idea what you guys are seeing reported or PM'd about. I don't report many incidents--about the only posts I've reported are those of obvious spam or 50-post runners. I'm more of a 'more speach is better' type of person, so I don't report every insulting comment by posters I read--even the ones to which 88GT is referring. Do the posters that get banned get banned because they're reported by others? Do you guys get a lot of reports when people start quoting scripture or accusing followers of certain middle eastern religions of murders? I know you guys can't monitor every thread and every post but would you recommend that 88GT start reporting offending posts "like all the others do"? Just curious.
People only get banned if we see what they've posted. One way to bring that to our attention is to report the post, because you're right we can't monitor every thread and every post. So yes, if you think something is over the line or against the rules report it. Maybe it is against the rules and we do something about it (infraction/temp ban/perma ban) and maybe we decide its not as bad as it seems and disregard it. Either way, reporting a post doesn't hurt anything at all.
So, if you see something, say something? Where have I heard that before?
