I have to tell you, you people are completely insane.... Clueless and are a bunch of whiny little schoolgirls. DC... Yea really, arrested, yea really... You try and discredit me, you all come up with 20 year old court cases about someone who was arrested and charged with carrying a gun in a federal facility.

If you really want to help out, get out and read and do something about the law. Oh and I recommend reading about how a New Mexico magistrate agrees with me in how 18 USC 930 reads as for carrying of a weapon "incident to other lawful purposes" Howard De La Cruz-Bancroft from 2010. I still find where it was successfully appealed by the government but then nothing more. Still checking to see if I can find somewhere that shows where someone was arrested, charged, and convicted of carrying a gun within a federal facility NOT A POST OFFICE.

I want to believe you. I really do. Insane? Eh. I'm reminded of what a wise man once told me. If you think you're the only sane person, perhaps you need a second opinion. As for what the law means, I'll probably tend to trust a lawyer (yeah, IKR?) before trusting some guy on the internet who makes counter-intuitive claims about stuff.

I guess what I'm saying is, I'll wait for the selfie.

I don't quite know how we have a decision by a Magistrate without being arrested and charged, but I do know that convictions follow pretty close on the heals of guilty pleas:

He was not a New Mexico magistrate, he was a federal magistrate. An "assistant judge" who was overruled by the District Court.

Cruz was convicted and sentenced. That was as far as it went. It was just a misdemeanor, but a crime none the less.

You mean like the Chavez federal building in downtown Albaquirky which houses a Bankruptcy Court, a Post Office and other federal agencies like the VA and USF&W?

Dan, I think you're totally sane and we both can clearly read and understand what's written in plain English. It's all of these lawyers polluting this thread with their misguided interpretation and court cases showing arrest and convictions for something that is clearly allowed.

Thanks for coming back and setting INGO straight. Also, do you have newsletter I can subscribe to? There's plenty of other laws that have been twisted; let's take America back from lawyers.

Absolutely! One smart guy in all this riff raff. IfI was one of you lawyers, I'd be darned ashamed.

    Add purple where necessary.

To be ashamed, you have to have a conscience. I had mine removed when I made partner. We were all surprised it took that long.
