I received a notice in the mail the other day informing me that my Utah handgun license is about to expire. Really? Has it been 5 years already?
Yes, yes it has.
O.k. I'm thinking, it looks like there's a possibility that we may see constitutional carry soon, so do I really need to lay out those funds?
The initial license was $75 for 5 years.
I opened the notice, and to my surprise, the renewal fee is all of $15!
Well, just a bit more.
They supplied an application for renewal that asks for the following records to accompany it, a copy of a current handgun license issued by my state of residence (with expiration date clearly legible), a "passport quality photo", and the $15 fee.
That was it.
Now the wait begins for the new document.
I don't know what made me think it would be more difficult/expensive.
