Honest question. If you're firing Netflix are you going to fire TV in general? I have yet to find any platform that doesn't have something objectionable somewhere along the way. With cable/satellite you're forced to pay for all sorts of channels you don't want or agree with. Hulu has "objectionable" content. Broadcast tv networks are all uber progressive. Time to go live as hermit I guess.

Netflix is a free market kind of thing. They offer a wide variety of content, including stuff I like and don't like. As long as they continue to offer enough content I like, I'll continue to pay a few dollars a month for it. I don't have to watch the content I don't like.

I gave it an honest try. I dunno. Maybe women find her schtick funny. I gave it about 15 minutes or so before turning it off and one-staring it. Listening to jokes about things like how big and smelly her ***** is, just isn't funny to me.

She was awful. Generally I enjoy female comedians but her standup gig was not funny at all. Fell asleep part way into it. Woke up later and wasn't sure if it was a nightmare or just more Amy as she was railing on gun issues. Turned her off and found something better to watch.

Over the past 2 days, I've watched Caddyshack and The Silver Streak on Netflix. I should have left both movies in the past. They have not aged well.

I must admit, I find it mildly amusing that people who are so easily offended are running to the internet, repository of ALL objectionable content, to biatch about objectionable content.

I do that every now and again.......I sometimes think movies ain't what they used to be then I wonder if maybe they ever were...

A few I really enjoyed as a young man that I was prepared to watch again and was worried they were not that good ended up surprising me and being better than I remembered....They are these three...

Sorcerer is hard to find but worth the search...Hulu has the French movie it was based on (The Wages of Fear) in it's Criterion collection but I like the 1977 remake by Friedkin better...The critics hated it....They wanted the Exorcist and got a film about the cost of redemption and whether there really is such a thing among killers...

You guys think movies don't age well, try watching some TV shows from the 80's and 90's. It's almost unbearable. I tried watching some of my old favorites, MacGyver, A-Team, Renegade, Knight Rider, etc., and I couldn't stand it. They were awful. But, I keep hunting. There's plenty of stuff to watch on the streaming services, and I can skip anything that I don't think is worth it. I did NOT watch the Amy Schumer special, simply because I saw the ****ty reviews it got right after it premiered. Serves her right for being such a [graphic description of what I really think about her removed for decency].

This is why I love INGO....Someone starts a thread about how terrible Netflix is and three pages later we are all sharing the great films we recently saw on Netflix...So here's one...Dark humor but I liked it...

I've watched through all of Star Trek TNG, DS9 and Voyager more than once thanks to Netflix. I became a fan of Twin Peaks and eagerly await the return thanks to Netflix. Currently working through X Files.

    Magnum P.I.

When you watch it now, especially after watching some of the shows you mentioned, you really realize how good of a show "Magnum" actually was. Plus, later winter/early spring is the best time for me to watch shows shot in Hawaii!

Frontier is very good. New season sometime later this year.

I used to reenact 18th century frontier history...I was so stoked when it came out and I barely got through the first episode....The props and clothing were just way too off for me and I found myself yelling at the TV too much...I may give it another try...With the proper amount of bourbon I may be able to pull it off...:)
