A Commercial And Government Entity (CAGE) code is a 6-digit alpha-numeric code which identifies source of a specific item. This will be on the item record of the National Stock Number (NSN.)

If I don't point this out the next thing you know NSNs (13-digit number consisting the the Federal Supply Class AKA "the first 4" and the 9-digit National Item Identification Number or NIIN) will be a series of emojis.

After that? Doing doughnuts on forklifts will be commonplace. Duct tape will be an acceptable substitute for tie-down straps and cargo nets will be optional on all aircraft (463L) pallets.

Slippery slope here Kirk. I'm rolling up on a quarter-century since I worked Base Supply, but agents of chaos will not succeed on my watch!

You know . . . my mom really isn't a machinist; she is a retired 8th grade English teacher from Plainfield that is into DAR, reading and her grandkids.

I get better barrels last longer (accuracy).
But I've had decent results with lesser brand barrels.

If good bbls last 35 or 40K and cheap ones only 20K...............just change cheapies out every 20K.

I'm not an AR fan, but have a mostly Aero rig (Anderson bbl).
It likes the Fiocchi 50gr Vmax bullet stuff, and is my rifle for coyotes.
Does OK w 55gr ball too.
Figure its a walking varmint rifle and most shots sub 200 yards.
    Its good enough.

A better bbl might shrink group size, but I don't think that will offer any advantage for my use.

If it has a red dot, its sighted at 50, if it has a scope, its sighted at 100.
308, 5.56, 6.5G are all sighted in at 50yd because they are good to go from 15yd to 200yds, just have to fine tune them a little with whatever ammo I'm using.
I try to use the same load/ammo that each rifle likes. 308 is 175gr SMK, 5.56 75gr Hornady HPBT, or Speer 75gr TMJ, 6.5G 123gr SST, or Speer 90gr TNT.
The longest distance I've shot is 500yds which is about as far as you can find in southeast Indiana.
7.62x39mm I sighted in at 35yds, and is good from 15yds to 150yds. I use 123gr SST. 125gr Speer TNT. 50yds is probably all it will ever need because it's for deer hunting only, and my hunting area is in the woods with very short range.

Got a Radical on a BF deal last year for $350.

Go ahead and call it poverty level, but I can take that extra $2000+ (you spent on your Daniel Defense) and buy a ton of ammo for it.

This list has rifle snob written all over it.

Much crap being talked about AR's. How many have actually taken a class and shot an AR?

You get to see you fellow shooters different brands of AR's and see some fail.

So if you wanna hang out with me and get some rounds downrange. It's only $110!

I’ve taken a few. I would recommend everyone take training classes to push all their gear. This is excellent advice

Do us a favor, and keep tabs on the ones that fail, and the ones that run flawlessly.
Find out if they are unaltered from the factory, or home builds etc.
Then give us a full report if you would.
It would be interesting to find out what runs flawlessly, what had failures, and if a person has modified/changed parts on their firearms from original factory etc on those that run flawlessly or fail.

Isn’t this one different than the one we saw before?

Well . . . more important question is how many of these are made by unique manufacturers. In other words, not ever company on this list makes its own parts/receivers. Folks would be surprised to learn that a single manufacturer cranks out the same parts and simply puts different logos/markings when it sends them out. End user thinks one thing but reality could be something else. This is true for most of the U.S. economy and stands true for guns too. Often you are just paying for a name.
