Hey guys, quick question. I know some dies can be used for more than one caliber of the same diameter. I know a guy who loads 10mm with his 40 S and W dies on a Dillon 650. My question is, can you do the same thing with 9mm Luger and use the dies to load 9mm Largo?
So I pulled the thing apart and thoroughly cleaned every little piece from in the receiver. I re-assembled the receiver and the cocking lever is still not functioning properly. Itslike the mainsprings have too much tension as when I pull back on the hammers, I can move the cocking lever into...
So I have a little confusion about Dillon presses. I currently use a friend's 650 to load 9mm. Im looking to get my own press and am trying to clarify the main difference between a Dillon 650 and a 1050. Can anybody help me out? Im wondering what the big advantage is to a 1050. Does Dillon...
Thanks man, Ill rip into the receiver. This would make sense as the guy said it didnt always do it but the appears to be nothing glaringly wrong with the gun.
The Reaction Rod is awesome if youre gonna build a bunch of them. I bought one for the shop here and use it for everything. I like it because I dont have to take customer's optics off and I can turn the upper to access different points of it while working on it (useful when doing gas blocks).
Hi everybody! I had a Browning Citori come across my bench in the last couple weeks that had a problem where the barrels would not come out of the thing. I took off the buttstock and examined the internals and was able to pull the hammers back a hair more with my fingers to allow the cocking...
Lol yeah, It will be, once I get it complete. I plan on making the Whelen into the hunting rifle Ive always wanted thats good, depending on load, for anything in North America. In in GA now and it reminds me a lot of northern MI (where Ive spent a great deal of time). The shots arent...
Hi everyone. So I picked up 2 projects that I have been looking for for a very long time. I got an FN Mauser action chambered in 35 Whelen and a hacked up Enfield No 4 MK1. The Enfield had a barrel that was shortened to 18" but the bore looks ok. I can salvage the gun as a good shooter but I...
With a law like this actually on the books, a violation basically consists of whatever the hell they say it is. Any of the stretches just described would also apply to reloading data for anything and everything and any type of gunsmithing work, including simple diagnoses. Its funny, in my more...
You can actually polish round surfaces on a wheel just like you do a regular steel gun before bluing. Doing that today myself as a matter of fact. You may not wanna try this, however, until you have practiced on a scrap piece of steel as polishing on a wheel is a task that is unlike any other.
