      Bald Eagle Sightings

Osprey at Eagle Creek Another really cool bird I didn't realize we had nearby is the osprey. I took these pics on the south end of Eagle Creek while kayaking.

      Bald Eagle Sightings

Eagle Creek has several bald eagles. I have seen them at least on four occasions while kayaking at the north end over the past couple of years.

      How do you ladies carry?

Appendix carry - S&W M&P Bodyguard 380 in kydex holster. Conceals well.

      appendix holster

My preference is appendix carry with a DIY kydex IWB holster. Great concealment and comfortable.

DIY IWB Kydex Holster- My First

Decided to get started with fabricating my own holsters. This my first project: IWB for Bodyguard .380. All one piece. Material: Holstex .60 (knifekits.com) . Total material cost maybe $7. I made a paper pattern first, transferred it to the Holstex and cut the material with a Dremel. Then I...

      .22lr Pistol Recommendation Help?

Consider checking out the new S&W M&P 22 compact. Costs around $319. Easy to disassemble/reassemble. Great for plinking! Fits my hand great. I can easily rack the slide.

Winchester Lever Guns from the 1892 From the Clabrough Golcher

Unfortunately I haven't shot any of the 1887 clones. Would be wonderful to compare old & new!

Winchester Lever Guns from the 1892 From the Clabrough Golcher

Thank you for taking the time to look up and post the pic for the 1887! I very much appreciate it! My father bought an 1887 (12GA) for $50 in an estate sale in the 1950's. It is a treat to shoot now (low recoil loads of course) although in the past, my father & brother shot slugs, etc...

Winchester Lever Guns from the 1892 From the Clabrough Golcher

Would that catalog happen to show a Winchester 1887 12GA Shotgun? I would love to know what it originally sold for. It's my favorite shotgun!

      What was your first handgun?

My introduction to a handgun was a S&W 38 special I bought for personal protection after I graduated from college. Still have it. Didn't know what I missing out on in terms of shooting fun with the semi-automatics until 20 some years later. Now my favorite handgun is my S&W M&P 9mm compact.

S&W M&P Bodyguard 380 possible hammer release issue

I never think of cleaning new firearms, but now I do and I did clean my latest purchase (S&W M&P 22 compact-Love it BTW!!!) before I went to the range. Re:380 bodyguard hammer release delay-I contacted S&W re: the problem and they had me send it in. I received it this week after about 3 weeks...
