      What is your threshold?

i have to step in for a second here. you can practice and rationalize all you want but it really does come down to reaction and instinct. i thought i was pretty well prepared in scenario before i took Fighting Pistol with Shay but after about 3hrs in the 1st day you realize how almost everything...

      "Baby" Desert Eagle anyone???

i own a 2nd gen Glock 22 and a 9mm Baby Eagle. i have NEVER had any problems with either firearm whatsoever. last summer i ran the baby eagle through Tactical Response's Fighting Pistol class. it was about 750rds over 2 days in 95+ degree heat. i chucked it on the ground a good 6 times and the...

      permit copies

i've talked to officers and they told me they cannot do a "random" stop; the kid was probably being trained by his FTO and decided to pull me over because i looked easy to deal with. before i left i asked why they stopped me and they said it was random. i kinda looked at them for a second then...

      permit copies

      1. well yes, i did not have to inform them of the firearm but as the officer was approaching i could tell he was young and probably new. rather than lean over and him freak out i decided to inform him i had a firearm. 2. if you are an officer and you are pulling someone over and you know they...

      permit copies

i was stopped by metro while not breaking any laws. i pulled into a parking lot and when the officer came over i had my hands on the wheel and he asked for my license and registration. i said i had a firearm in the car and he asked where it was. i said it was under my right arm between the seat...

      permit copies

sure is, my buddy is brownsburg pd and told me. and about 2mo ago i was pulled over by IMPD and they took my firearm during a traffic stop and ran my license and did NOT take my permit. came back 5min later with my firearm and bullets in a plastic baggie and sent me on my way.

      permit copies

what is the point to the permit copy? the only person asking to see your permit should be law enforcement; and the permit is attached to your driver's license. anytime an LEO runs your license it pops up that you have a permit to carry.

Opinion on Houge Handall wrap grip

i have one on my 2nd gen Glock 22 and it's been there for about 5yrs. it has NEVER spun around on me nor grabbed any clothing. i'm not even sure i could take it off if i wanted to it's on there so tight.

Do you carry different "types" of guns?

it's all muscle memory. if you practice enough with the "different" guns your hands/mind will remember how it functions. now i do agree with KISS but if you practice enough then it should not be a problem.

      Carry in the Summer

i'm 5'8" and 140lbs. i carry only fullsize handguns riding at 4 o'clock. it's just like a new wallet. you have to train your body to accept it.

My life was in danger. I want my lawyer.

actually, if you talk to any ER personnel they'll tell you something like 80% of gunshot wound victims survive. but that whole body-dragging, better make sure they're dead speech is ********. like i said, if you shoot someone you're going to jail and chances are some charges will be files. it's...

My life was in danger. I want my lawyer.

long story short. guys were drunk but my friend was not. it was late and this guy has a history of violence. for some unknown reason, but has happened before, he just attacked my friend in his kitchen. after a brief struggle and yelling my friend went for a .22 rifle by his fridge and told him...

My life was in danger. I want my lawyer.

and i know a good friend of mine that this situation happened. he shot someone in self-defense in his own home. many thousands of dollars in lawyer fees later and the case was thrown out. but they were gonna use his 911 recording against him and the guy he shot had a record. when it comes to...

My life was in danger. I want my lawyer.

another shameless plug for Tactical Response follows... if you take one of their classes they teach you this exactly. now i know that valhalla tells you to call 911 and say, "i shot someone, send police and ambulance now". never do that. you have just admitted you did something onto a recording...
