      Rock Island 1911

      I have a ria tactical 9mm it was only 50 more than gi model it came with better sights extended beavertail skeletonized hammer and trigger imo well worth 50 upgrade . I have about 3000 rounds through mine and the only thing I did was upgrade the extractor I had some failure to extract issues...

      I use titegroup in 2 different lee powder measures and is always consistent.

      rcbs 505 beam scale. I also have the Frankfort arsenal small digital scale and it works very well may just need new batteries( I only use mine as a backup).

      I don't know about the smith but there are plenty of guns in your price range that are great guns. I have a gen 3 glock 19 mine cost 500 plus tax and I have no complaints great all around pistol no upgrades necessary for me.

      Definition of a Good Shot With a Handgun

      If you can keep it on a 9" paper plate 1 second per shot at 10 yards I would say good. 25 yards all shots on a 12 inch target 1 second per shot good enough.

      Reloading Info for a Beginner

      primers run 30-40 per 1000, Powder is 20-25 a pound depending on what kind. I use plated bullets from xtreme and 9mm are about 40 per 500 not sure on 40. I started on a single stage press and still use it. Check you tube there are some good videos on reloading.Powder and primers I get at...

      Trading in my P2022 9mm for M&P shield 9mm???

      If you want to get the shield sell your sig on the classifieds section you will get more money out of it than trading and it will sell quick if it is priced right. I see guns on here I 'm interested in and they are sold in less than a few days if it is a good deal most of the time.
