      Monster/Creature Films...Any fans and what's your favorite??????

Anyone else remember "Snowbeast" ? Starred Bo Svenson and Yvette Mimeaux as I recall. The idea is basically the Abominable Snowman attacks a ski lodge town during a winter celebration. One of the better B movies I've seen.

      Crappies in AL.

I too always heard them referred to as "Specks"....at least in S. Carolina.

      best holsters

Once you try a Milt Sparks (especially the Versa Max II) you'll been done with all other holsters. None better.

      Holy cow Mercedes!

Over my 35 years of driving I have owned 3 Mercedes and 5 BMW's....both in Holland and in the USA. Currently have 2 BMW's. My experience in the US is that people who don't like MB or BMW have, for whatever reason, their own axe (cost, perception, too foreign, jealousy etc) grind with German...

      It's here HK P30SK

Nice looking HK. Always love me some German weaponry. Have the VP9 and really like it. Can't go wrong with German engineering.

      M1 Carbine Value

So, if the weapon functions correctly, even if it's not all original, I wouldn't take less than $700 for it because you couldn't replace it for that. With the extra mags and ammo you're approaching $1k.:twocents: Totally agree with the above. I haven't seen a decent M1 carbine for less than...

      New or used car?

This is the best advice I've seen in this thread.

Took my antique Snow Trac for the "last ride" today...

I don't think I could have let something that cool go......Thanks for sharing. Really, really neat. -G

      VZ-58 Thoughts?

I had one of the early ones made by CZ. Rifle functioned perfectly. Never had a problem but, did find that the proprietary mags can be hard to find. If you can find a few mags I'd say you've got a workable platform. Enjoy. -G

Sig 229 9mm elite standard barrel

Have a 9mm 229 Elite with the threaded barrel which I really enjoy. However, I am looking for a standard (non threaded) 9mm barrel to complete the set. Having a hard time find this item. Even Sig does not seem to carry it in 9mm. Really would prefer to keep my 229 all Sig....but I may have to...

      Squirrel hunting/eating questions

A pressure cooker will tenderize an old squirrel too. Just brown him in the pan first and then pressure cook him. Not bad at all. -G

      Is Cummins Anti gun..2nd Amendment?

Kagnew, I never said anything about "outlawing gun ownership". That was some other poster....take it up with them. Yes, BIL stands for Brother-in-Law.

      Ballistol

I use both Ballistol and CLP exclusively. Love them both.

      Is Cummins Anti gun..2nd Amendment?

Careful now....I do think it's well know around Southern Indiana that Cummins is (Overly) concerned/interested in social engineering. I once asked my BIL if Cummins had ever quantified (in sales) how their Domestic Partner, Affinity Group, and Diversity Initiatives had led to the sales of more...

      Is Cummins Anti gun..2nd Amendment?

Was at a Cummins building this weekend with my BIL. Noticed sign stating "no weapons of any kind allowed" near entrance. Made me wonder. So, once I returned home, I checked a list (there are several) of Anti Gun companies and sure enough....Cummins Inc was listed. I found this "interesting"...

Columbus Resident requests Noise Ordinance due to neighbor shooting too much..

Kagnew, I was once told by my BIL who lives in Columbus...."the only difference between N. Vernon and Columbus is that N. Vernnon KNOWS it's a small town". I guess lots of people like Columbus. It has just always seemed WAY to PC for me. Lots of money spent on (ugly) architecture and social...

Columbus Resident requests Noise Ordinance due to neighbor shooting too much..

You are correct. If you have money or happen to be a diesel manufacturer....you can do whatever you want in Columbus/Bartholomew County. Also, Columbus is one of, in not the most, PC places I have ever known. If the neighbor could somehow weave into his story that the target practice somehow is...

What gun to buy to complete my life?

My life would be complete if either a NFA German MP40 or HK MP5 would walk through the door. -G
