why would you want a custom serial number in the first place? If you want something to pass down just have it custom engraved. I wouldn't get mad at custom shops because they won't deviate from their sequential serial numbers.
neither ZX nor midwest were there but I am the proud owner of a brand new Sig 2022 got it from Wrigley Sales out of Churubusco. He gave me a good deal on it.
So I am going to a gun show this weekend to browse. I'm kind of looking for a sig sp2022. What price should I expect to pay for a good used one? Or more importantly what is a ripoff price on these?
I also say sig mosquito. Mine has been flawless with all the ammo i've put through it mainly federal bulk pack ammo and cci stuff. I've shot the ruger mark II quite a bit and while it might be more accurate for a pistol it isn't anywhere as fun to shoot as the mosquito.
i use the lightweight spring on mine no matter what I shoot out of it (although I typically shoot mini mags). The only time I've ever had FTF, FTE was when I swaped out the light spring for the heavy one. Even the mini mags couldn't fully cycle the slide every time with the heavy spring in.
