      Glock 43, finally?

      Thinking about a h&k vp9

I bought one a short time ago. If feels so good in my hand (I used the large sides, and medium rear panel) plus I was more accurate with it over my G19 at ranges over 7 yds. The combination of the trigger, and how it felt in my hand made the difference.

      Glock Night Sights?

Another for the TruGlo TFO's - bright in both night and day.

Best off the rack AR for under $1200

I bought a Del-Ton Echo about 3 years ago for $699. I removed the front sight post, installed a midwest industries 14'' rail, vortex strikefire, and a few magpul additions, nothing glamorous. It has been 100% reliable for thousands of rounds. I have done a few trainings with it, and really...

      S@W SHIELD 40 or 9MM?

I consolidated awhile back to 9mm for capacity and weight. I carry the non-safety version in 9mm. I have owned the .40 version and felt that it had more recoil. I carry it daily in my Shield Holsters Low-Pro Hybrid.

      S and W shield 9mm

I have one that I use for daily carry. I have large hands, and the grip felt small for me, and the texture is a little on the slippery side. 30 minutes with a soldering iron fixed that. Stock sights and trigger, I have no issues with it and due to the small size and weight I will continue to...

Something new coming for the XD line at Springfield

Unless you are Jerry Miculek or Instructor Zero, I'm not sure that the "high bore-axis" - "milliseconds" between follow up shot debate has much merit to the average joe/conceal carry guy - I.E. 99% of us! SA makes a great product, but it is not for everybody. The same can be said about...

      Best 1911 under 700?

I just bought a Remington R1 1911 for under $625. Seems to be of high quality, match grade barrel etc. So far so good, has lots of positive reviews as well.

      CCW holsters?

Lots of good holsters out there. I have a few from Shield Holsters in Decatur. They can make a nice variety both IWB and OWB. They have made several for me, and all top-quality. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Shield-Holsters/1383067298599090

      FNS-9

I had the FNX9 first, and loved it. When the FNS came out, I sold the X and bought the FNS. Having owned many different handguns with range and training, I like the FNS by far. It feels great in my hand, and I shoot better groups than with my G19. I am better with it in point-shooting as...

      Gun Shops in/around Fort Wayne

+2 for Tomlinsons. I went there for the first time a few weeks ago to help a friend pick out a good concealed/home defense gun. It's a good shop with a good selection.

      If the SHTF

The best bet regardless is to be prepared, and live each day to its fullest. Our government is upside down - it is unfolding before our eyes.

What I've bought since the panic buying started.

I was lucky and ordered ammo and extra mags just before the panic struck.

      best backpacks for "bugout bags"

I have a few Fox Outdoor Packs. They seem to be on par with the Condor and UTG stuff I have had in the past, just a little less expensive. Just picked up the Fox 3 Day Assault Pack here: Packs - 260 Tactical

How would I lighten up my AR?

I would never get rid of backup sights. Otherwise any other "tacticool" accessories should be removed if you want to save weight!

Have fun in the big city when SHTF

Agreed! Have a group that shares common interests, goals, and of course trust. 4-5 people handy with a LR 308 can take out a lot of problems before they even realize you are there.
