      Sarvis Tree Birds

All the Sarvis berries are now gone. Most of the birds in the neighborhood enjoy having lunch in the old Serviceberry tree. Here are a some shots of the feeding frenzy that went on for a few days. Several dozen Cedar Waxwings can swiftly clear a tree of its fruit. They swallow the berries...

      American White Pelican

Went on a safari to Goose Pond near Linton, IN on 3/25. The Sandhills seem to all be gone but I did observe about 6 or 8 dozen White Pelicans. These guys are fun to watch while they feed in groups. Here is a shot of a loner on a muskrat mound taking a rest. Still lots of ducks in the area.

      Ross's Goose

Out taking a few pics on my day off. This fellow was hanging out with the Canada geese on the dike at Stillwater marsh. It looks to be a Ross's goose. First I have seen. There were also some Tundra swans feeding in the area.

      Loctite on front sight

I'm changing the sights on my M&P shield to the AmeriGlo I-Dot. The new front sight slides right through the dovetail groove by hand. Installing front sights in the past usually required a little filing on the bottom to even fit. My question is, should the front sight be snug and drifted in...

      UFO

I want to share a photo taken in April of 2007 at the Natural Bridge State Park in Kentucky. The photo was taken as part of a set to be joined together later as a panorama. My location was on the Natural bridge itself looking down into the valley below. I never noticed the object in the sky...

Soy Burgers are not for me

Well I had a day off work and took my wife to lunch at a restaurant in downtown Bloomington. We had a cozy little outside table and I ordered a burger called the Tempura burger along with a Sam Adams. I assumed it was just the name of the house burger; you know kinda like The Big Angus or...

Reasons to carry more than one handgun on person

OK...I have noticed a lot of people on here apparently carry more than one handgun on them for self-defense. Some even carry three. My question is........Besides an LEO or similar, why would the average fellow carry more than one gun at a time? I have an idea why I might want to at times...

      Loaded handgun at gunshop

I was reading another Ingo thread where a gun shop owner handed a customer a pistol to inspect only to have the young man point it at him and pull the trigger. It was not loaded of course, but the incident reminded me of a few years back when I was browsing a shop looking for a small .22...
