I have not used one, and have no affiliation to any, but there are options where you can replace the rear sight with one that will accommodate an optic. Sight-mount is one, Vortex Optics is another. This way you can buy the gun that meets all your requirements, and have the optic. Good luck.

An added bonus that no one mentions with sticking to the M&P line is that the full size mags from the CORE will fit in the 9C, giving you extra capacity for your carry gun. I have the FS 9mm, and love it. I'm sure you will be very happy with the CORE.

I have the gold version and love it. Did the BAM Bushing mod to fix the mag drop problem. Added a VQ sear. Did my own trigger mods by adding a take up screw and overtravel screw. Also did a version of the slingshot mod. All of these mods and TONS of info can be found at rimfirecentral.com
There is a range in Knox, IN that holds a silhouette match every month. Maybe too far for you.
