Hopefully you have someone who knows a thing or two about guns to help you learn how to handle one...if not find one...also if you have kids or even if you don't you'll want something to lock you pistol up in when it is not in use

Sorry but another 2 cents worth make sure you are measuring the temp of the kydex not the temp of the oven...a infered digital themometer works best... go slow when heating to avoid melting or curling of the kydex
