Is he a ffl or at least a professional engraver, reasonable charge?? Hoping to get it in the trigger well, not on the guard. Doubtful it would ever break, but im just a parnoid guy
So I finally formed1 my seekins lower that has been sitting in the safe for over 4 years, waiting for something special...
Now my question for those who have done the same, where did you put the engraving info? Since the trigger guard is made into the reciever many places won't engrave there...
Sorry I ment 358 win
And yes with Winchester.308 brass that has beed fired, not new you can get 99% success with by sizing in .308 die, than trimming to rough length with a chop-saw, like 300aac is done from .223, than size in a 38 hoosier die, do final trimming on the trimmer of your choice...
There will be some upcoming announcements time frame is unknown though. Right now I can only say what Andrew has posted on facebook with the current focus being class 3/NFA LE sales and gunsmithing along with small batch speciality loading (like 458 socom)
Shotshell loading for target IMHO is not worth it, once you factor in time your usually loosing money over a cheep winchester or federal bulk pack. If your a competitor it can be different, just like metallic loading you can taylor loads to the gun. The biggest kicker these days is the cost of...
The guys up at Precision are very nice upstanding folks. Dennis is a very nice guy, have delt personally with him on a few occasions. I am sure if you contact them they will help resolve the issue.
Coming from the manufacturer standpoint things like this occasionally can happen but without...
I know he does hope to get some stuff back up and running but time frames and details at the moment are undecided. I will post up as soon as I know about classes etc.
Currently all local services are by appointment only. You can PM or email andrew @ profiresupply.com (remove spaces) to set that up. What is online should be accurate instock and ready to ship amounts.
I know for the moment Andrew planned on focusing more on the class 3 stuff for right now to...
On behalf of Profire I apologize for a lack of communication. Andrew is running the show 99.9999% by himself these days as the ATF lawsuit and other dealings as a result of last years robbery have taken most of the wind from the retail sales. He has downsized to survive and I know some of the...
At Profire we used once fired winchester brass that was cut off like you do blackout with a chop saw, resized in a 338 hoosier die, trimmed to final length on a hand trimmer (with drill attachment) than loaded accordingly. Its very time consuming but we did not have much of a problem up-sizing...
Can you show a pic of it failing the case gauge. It could be 1 of 2 main issues, bulged brass from a unsupported chamber (mostly glocks), it could be a crimp issue. Past those it could be a few others, but with 40 I like to check the first 2 most common problems out of the way first.
Profire still has IBC lead bullets instock and a very limited selection of berrys. The website inventory is rather accurate. Buy online, choose local pickup and Andrew will let you know when it is ready.
Lyman, sells more all the time than the RCBS and it comes with all the bits for less cost. We have abused the same one at Profire for over 3 years and it still is going strong. Plus it has a lip to gather all the shavings, the rcbs just go's everywhere.
As long as your not pushing them above about 1300fps your good. I load most played at jacketed specs for380, 38spl, 9mm and 45acp, all max out at about 1150fps. I typically load about .2-.3grains less than max jacked data from the lee or lyman book. For magnums, 40, 10mm etc I tend to make sure...
