      wiping down handguns oil vs grease

      I have always cleaned my EDC gun about once a month. Always oil inside , grease outside. I now own a new XDS, different type of coating, just wondering what everyone thinks about grease vs oil on OUTSIDE of handgun?

      Thank you all for the advise on the XDS .45 and the warm welcome. I just have to say, I have only been here for a very short time and already I have met a great person !       XDS 3.3 45

      My current EDC has been a colt double eagle officers 45. but after several back surgeries I have been looking to lighten the load but want to stay with the 45 cal... Looking at the XDS 3.3 45. any opinions ?
