      I've never been

Are tickets only available at the door?

      I've never been

How much are tickets? Where do you get tickets? Will INGO have a booth? Free parking? Anything else I need to know?

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

I will certainly be looking for good deals as I go along, but I actually plan on buying the tools as well. I plan on this just being my first of several AR builds. My brother and I will likely be working on it together. Since he will be wanting to build his own ARs as well, it makes sense to...

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

I thought about that, but I would probably just wind up switching out the trigger and stock anyway. So, I'll probably just wind up buying all of the components separately. As was already noted, I'm probably going to start with the stripped lower so I can start the SBR paperwork. As much as I...

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

Are PSA stripped lowers decent? I am looking to build my own rather than just put a lower and an upper together and call it a day. I really want the challenge and experience of getting each component individually and putting it all together. While it's certainly not the same thing, I've built...

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

So, I'll refer back to my original question. How can I find quality components? As a novice, I only have recommendations to go on as price can be very misleading. Everyone wants good quality for a good price and I certainly don't want to pay more money for no reason. I don't mind paying $10 more...

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

There seems to be some pretty big price differences on most of these components. Take the lower receiver for instance. I see some $50 lowers alongside some $200+ lowers. Is there really that much of a difference? What about other components? How do I know what to look for in a quality BCG? I'm...

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

Good LORD! There's not a chance I'm spending $1800 on an upper! $$$ $$$ Thank you very much for the input and info, though!

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

At this moment, I think I'm leaning toward 2 stamps: one for a 10.5" 5.56 SBR and a second for a suppressor. Even though I could pin the can and not need the second stamp, I think I want to go ahead and get a stamp for the SBR as it may be a while before I get the can and I will be able to swap...

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

To be honest, I suspect that it will probably take me at least a year (if not more) to purchase all of the components that I'll need anyway, so I doubt I'll build it as a pistol first. I would just buy the receiver first to get the paperwork started and expect that I would have my stamp back...

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

If I want to build an SBR by buying pieces at a time, I understand that I would need to get an NFA stamp. My question becomes: at what point can I fill out the NFA Form 1? Do I just need the receiver S/N and an estimate of the barrel/overall length? If, after I get my stamp, I decide to do...

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

So you get a stamp on the lower and not the barrel? Does that mean you just stamp the receiver portion and can swap out anything else (including the barrel) and have it still be on the same stamp? I guess I need to do some more research on NFA stamps. Pardon my ignorance here, but what's the...

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

Hmm. That's an interesting point I hadn't considered, but leads to some more questions: I'm not familiar with tax stamps. I understand I would need one for the can, but would I need a second for the barrel (under 16") or the assembled rifle if I don't pin the can? Can you purchase short...

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

I'm assuming you meant Optics Planet instead of Planet Optics. What is Weidnors? A Google search doesn't give anything that looks familiar. It sounds like a suppressor is highly recommended by most. Is it worthwhile looking for a barrel with one integrated or possibly shortening the barrel and...

      Long Gun Laws

I see. So the barrel has to be at least 16" and the overall length must be at least 26". Got it. What about a supressor? Is the supressor considered to be part of the barrel?
    16. =Josh=

      Long Gun Laws

Correct me if I'm wrong here. As long as the overall length of the rifle is >=26" (with the stock fully extended), it's not required to be classified as an SBR. If it's shorter than 26", I would need to fill out a form and pay a $200 fee. It doesn't matter what the actual barrel length is.

      Long Gun Laws

I'm looking for information about long gun laws in Indiana. I'm looking into building an AR for home defense and want to make sure I'm doing things legally. Can someone point me in the right direction?

      AR-15 Home Defense Build

Is it a good idea to free float for a home defense build? Why or why not?

Other than brownells.com, what is a good place to shop for components?

Pardon my ignorance, but I don't know the lingo or acronyms at this point. Can you dumb it down for me a bit?
