Can I fire 22 magnum thru my 22 revolver?

The size difference between a 22lr and a 22mag is not enough for a 22lr round to drop entirely through a 22mag cylinder.

I understand that. What part of "The 22 myth is a myth" did you miss?

And never try to put a .22 LR into a .22mag revolver, it will destroy the gun.

I also did this once with my dad's Heritage Arms revolver. It took me a couple ruptured casings to finally figure out that the ammo wasn't bad and that the "extra cylinder" wasn't really just an "extra cylinder" after all . The gun itself was fine afterwards.

Love the Single Six, but ain't that the loudest gun you ever fired? I can shoot any other 22 handgun without ear protection (I know, I know), but I have to slip on the muffs when the Ruger takes the stage.

Didn't notice it as much with .22lr but just fired some 22 Mags today and holy cow that little gun is loud!
