I was talking to a friend from Texas about the silly regulations we have here in Indiana regarding what cartridges can be used to hunt deer with, if you're using a rifle. He was truly amused at how ridiculous it all is and I told him the only reason it's not totally aggravating to me is because of all the interesting wildcat development that has gone on, as a result. It got me to thinking about what options are available, both standards and wildcat, so I thought I would try to make a listing of them. This is the first 20 I could come up with. Please feel free to add in other rounds that I'm sure I'll forget about.

I know of a wildcat that is a 350 Rem Mag. Standard neck length, but shoulder moved back to get case length to 1.800. The guy named it "350 JR".

With a case length of 1.75in and a bullet diameter of .515 the 50-70 government is legal.

I had to Google the .350 Rem Mag.

They should have called it the .360 Rem Mag. It's a lot closer to .360 than .350!

Yep...it's what a few folks are calling the 45/70 cartridge Andrew has been working on. Pretty promising results, so far.

I guess I missed it at number 18. I would have had to take off my shoes to count that high.
