I have been thinking that a mini Double action 1911 in .45 would make a nice carry gun. Other than the old conversions I can think of the Para Ordinance LDA, and Colt is supposed to have a DA agent, though I havent seen one outside the Internet.

Any others and what are your experiences?

I think it takes the best aspect of the 1911, its trigger, and replaces it with something outside "the design".

Fixing a problem that doesnt exist IMO.

plenty of DA choices, very few SA choices, why make the SA choice DA?

The two you have mentioned are the only DA 1911's of which I'm aware. I carry the Para Companion 1911-style LDA and absolutely love it. I hope you find what you are looking for.

    Decent Trigger? Check?
That trigger looks like a sissy revolver trigger on a chick gun. :):
Next, you'll be wanting to put one of those derpy "safety" doohickeys on it.

What YOU need, my friend, is a short flat solid trigger built for two-digit wielding.

Well, I'll just go hang out with the other eunuchs until I can find a sewing kit.
