Yesterday at noon two guys yank 68 yo woman out of her car in a mall parking lot. She fought back and one of them punched her in the face. They tried to steal her car but couldn't get it into drive because she had the key fob in her pocket. The thugs grabbed her purse but a nearby witness pulled his gun and the bad guys dropped the purse and fled. Woman treated and released on scene, police published parking lot video of suspects walking (unfortunately not much detail can be had from the video).

I was hoping for the good news that the two had assumed room temperature and would never assault another.

Four young thugs with what appeared to be a rifle tried to rob a pizza delivery guy (PDG) at midnight. PDG was armed and shot at them. All four of the robbers ran but were apprehended, with three of them being treated for GSWs.

Police found a toy "assault-style" toy rifle painted to look like a real firearm. All four charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery. So far PDG not charged. Amazingly enough the article actually refers to the PDG as the victim and the robbers as suspects.

The trouble with MOST reports on any shooting event is that too many people involved in the gathering of information. People lie and cheat and make mistakes on the facts wether it be the shooter, the shootee or the people reporting. The trick is straining out the truth.
