If proposing unconstitutional legislation were treason, then we wouldn't have any politicians at all, would we?

It's a waste of time. It's certainly unconstitutional, but it's not treason. And you won't get her tossed from office. She was my senator for 6 years, and she sucks, but California loves her.

How is attempting to subvert the constitution not treason? the issue may not have been pushed in the past, but it's high time that we start!

Not only would I have to "register" all of my guns, and be in some type of government database, but I'd get the fine honor of paying a fee to be violated.... "Protecting the hunter"... are you frigging kidding me... That's a kop-out to get the "hunters" or her side... and unfortunatly, it will probably work... The dude that has a 50 year old 20 gauge sitting in the corner of his bedroom will say "well, I don't have to give up my gun, and this sounds reasonable to me... so heck yea, I'll vote for it"... all the while some responsible fella trying to buy an AR won't be able to because of some polititian in California.... This just chaps my cheeks!

Then write your reps!!! Write the majority leaders, anyone you can think of!

Hard to say if the voice mail is full because of this, or because the numbskulls can't come up with a budget with the looming fiscal cliff. At least there is some preoccupation with the budget to take some steam out of the anti gun ranting.

What is it with this socialist cow that she has to mind everybody's business but her own? Fix your own damn state. I bought my guns for hunting. I bought a Saiga 12 so I could change ammunition quickly depending on what I come across in the field. How is that a threat to these brain-dead liberals?

    hahahaha

Once again, she owns herself. That has no chance in hell of getting passed.

It doesn't if we let all of congress know we won't put up with this crap any longer! Write, email and call your reps! We have to be proactive on this; and we have to keep the pressure on our elected officials. The more we let them know that we, the American people, will no longer tolerate unconstitutional laws, the less likely they are to try and shove them through.

Do you think a Glock 19 would be on that list? It would be a pain to have to register mine.

well according to the proposed legislation, yes, it would be on the list; as would each magazine for it... so theroretically you would have to list the handgun, and each magazine over 10 rounds in the NFA; if it follows current NFA rules that means full registration and a $200 tax stamp per item. This would mean that my vz.58 and mags would cost me around $3400!

I wonder what type of fee will be included when the "grandfathered" weapons are registered, and if this would affect the transportation of the weapon to the range.
