He was still a baby IMO such a good soul five years in the Army and a cop at 25. I hope he will still be able to serve in the afterlife.

I think the “blood eagle” would be in order?

...The man who police believe believe shot and killed Elwood Police Officer Noaf Shahanavaz, was able to fire 36 rifle rounds, while the officer was not able to shoot him once...

...Court documents indicate that Boards FaceTimed his mother, father and girlfriend while being chased by police. When detectives went to his barbershop, a man who rents an apartment over the shop told them that Boards recorded a song saying he would kill cops if they ever caught him. That man also told police Boards is a member of the Black Hebrew Israelites...

Forgive my ignorance on the issue, but what model of gun is that? And what caliber are they mostly chambered for?

This is pretty good clickbait, not the best but good.
From reading this, this wasn’t necessarily the teachers opinion, we don’t know for sure what her opinion was. This was a “research” project poster left over from the previous year.

We can draw the conclusion that she wasn’t as against the idea as much as most of us here are (we would have flunked the student and burnt the poster??) but she is probably not in our bubble circle of logic.
Just saying maybe there a chance the headline writers saw an opportunity to divide us again.

    Flame on boys.

I don't disagree, but it doesn't say much for the teacher's sense of presence to not understand her student's tragedy.

Might have been an appropriate time to update last years display?

The whole separate argument is why a defund the police statement was allowed in the first place? That's political bull :poop: that shouldn't be hanging in a tax funded educational facility ever anyway?

No it wasn't necessarily the teachers work, but they left it up. That action to me says they didn't object.

I also find it a little curious that work from the prior year was still up. When I was in highschool the teachers had prepped the class rooms before we arrived. I don't ever remember seeing last year's work still up. Unless it was an award winner.

Agreed. And from what little I can gather from the articles, the poster wasn't for or against "defund the police" and the article left off the punctuation of the tile in the headline which was ?. Per the articles the poster went into the reasoning behind both for and against.

From the second article I could probably guess the teachers stance.

I certainly believe in freedom of speech, but if you can list a single "pro" for defending law enforcement, you don't belong in high school (teacher or student), you need to go back to kindergarten and play with finger paint.
I'll not even address the absolute disrespect shown to this young man or the fallen officer.
I'd like that teacher to throw her creds up and see how her's stack up against Officer Shahnavaz's.
I have lost so much respect for educators in the last few years. I know there are good ones out there but they're being shadowed by the really bad ones and no one is screaming to defund them.
