waiting for the day when walmart decides as a nation we are too fat and limits our purchase of potato chips to one bag per customer

I can just imagine the rioting that would ensue, for a few minutes though until people go into diabetic shock or need their inhalers.

Cabela's in St Louis had plenty of 223 if anyone was going that way. We were able to get 1 box each of .22lr. But apparently my ordered .22lr from Cabelas.com shipped. WAY early

Was at Vincennes Rural King yesterday. They were just setting up new gun area and had PMC.223 and Remington .223 on shelf behind new counter. S***load of shotshells of every variety. 10 boxes of Remington .45. Looks like they will be ready to start selling next week.

    natchez has .45

Just found some decent priced value ammo on www.natchezss.com

    PMC .45 auto fmj 230gr / 21.99 for 50rd

It just became available about an hour ago, and looks like there's plenty, at least for a little while.

20:30 - The Shelbyville Walmart just put some ammo on the shelves - they had limited quanties of 45, 357, 7.62x39, and some Tula steel cased 223. The 9MM was gone by the time I made it through the gathering around the counter, and no mention of 308, or 22lr.

Palmetto State Armory store next to I-26 in Columbia, SC had a stack of American Eagle .223 100 round Value Packs, $59.00. Limit one box per customer. Also had American Eagle 400 round bulk packs of .22lr for $25. Limit one box per customer.

(Just in case anyone's heading that way, well worth a stop. Right off the interstate!)

Acme in Seymour had a ton of .223 in stock. PMC for 15/box didn't seem too bad. They had various packs of it. May have even had 100 round packs. I saw a spam can of something plus a battle pack of 5.45X??? I can't recall.

I about gagged on the 250 round 'box' of 9 mm for 240ish bucks. Federal White box JHP 9mm for 30/box. .45 ACP for 35 or 40/box. Seemed like the 'hot' calibers were high and the normal calibers(30-06 for instance) weren't too bad.

Not blaming Acme...just looking forward to things settling down.

They also had a ton of 30 round AR mags.

256 Sport Garden in Austin had 9 mm and a ton of other ammo on the shelf. Their 9 mm 'cheap' stuff was 24/box.

I actually say 9 mm and 45 acp on the shelf today...so thats a start. Just too expensive and I passed on it...even though about 1 more trip to the range with 9 mm and I'll be out. :(

Yah, I walked away from prices like that today...

The 60 bucks/100 box of 45 auto didn't seem bad though in these times.

They are a little steep. I didn't say I ordered a lot ha but I make sure I have some bought before I go to range so I don't dry up my stock, the .45 wasn't awful though. 9 could've been better. Oh well.

I really thought long and hard about it today as I have promised to take some no-shooting friends out shooting and I'd like to have more ammo to take them out with. Hoping by May(when I'll realistically get them out) that things will have settled a bit more...so I waited.

The fact its starting to appear is encouraging.
