It's a nice sentiment to be sure. However I would never expect something like that. I think a lot of women appreciate creativity in a proposal. Something that is specific to that certain couple. I guess that can be different for every couple out there.

200 hours that could have been used to do the following:
    Rub my feet
    Help with laundry
    Cook a meal
    Picked up dog sh**
    Mowed the lawn
    Done general household repairs

I don't know about other women but I feel like the above is more than enough to gain my respect as a partner. If my husband spent 200 hours making me a jewelry box I'd probably hit him with a broom.

Wow. He put a ton of work into that. However, there's very few people that have access to equipment like that or the engineering degree to design it. Really cool though.

But why not just the jewelry box instead of a broom? :D

So... The symbolism is her being inside him on their wedding day???

Just kidding, nice to see him dedicate himself to a project to her. By placing it on the net though it becomes more about him than her I think.

    Where's the bacon?
    Canadian diamond? FAIL!

    Buy American!

(Nice work, and I'm envious, however, I think the machined look is more aesthetically pleasing to us guys, speaking strictly stereotypically. That is, something like that would be more appropriate for the lock on the entrance to his man-cave. :twocents: )
