    I'd have to agree with you CM. A poly 1911 is just not a 1911 to me. It would be the Caitlyn Jenner of guns. You know, one that is trying real hard to be something it's not.

    I have always loved my Sig Sauer 1911. They make multiple models as well that range from 900-1300 or so

    Rumor mill says Glock USA wants to do a full size single stack .45 but the mothership says no. It would still be a Glock, not a 1911 design, but perhaps similar in size. Not going to happen unless there is a philosophy change, though.

    Glock make 1911? You are not kidding right? When was the last time anyone has seen a plastic 1911? :). Some people dont even like aluminum frame 1911, and most prefers steel frame. So a plastic 1911 is not a good idea and it wont sell. :)

    Glock perfection? Well they are on their 5th try maybe someday... NOT!

    John Browning perfection. 105 years, you can tweak them a million ways, but they are still a 1911.
