Just sampled their pizza at their Ft. Myers location. My wife and I split a 6" deep dish sausage pizza. The cheese was great and the sauce delicious. Topping were $1.95 each, so we opted for sausage only. Seemed a bit sparse to me, but it was good eating. We were told the entire pizza weighed in at two pounds, so it was plenty for two people. Great atmosphere, comfortable seats, good service.

On the way up or down, The Farmhouse at Fair Oaks Farms has a pretty good tenderloin sandwich.

2nd give us a detail description of yourself so we can call mwg at every location you go. LOL

3rd the buffet at the horseshoe casino is the best of the casinos we have up here so if you like food that is the one to visit. They have a very good steakhouse as well.

What are your interest?

Don't do it.... go the other way, New Buffalo MI has great eats and they let you bring your gun. Jedi have you tried the buffet at Four Winds? If so how does it compare to Horseshoe?

If you get to Michigan City, take a drive down to Washington Park Beach and take a walk on the pier. Beware of the waves on a windy day! A nice walk and view on most days. The stop by Shoreline brewery for a couple of cold ones.

Can't recommend this enough. The Crown Point location is nice too. More of an end of day place though. The Lamb shank will ruin you for doing much else afterward.

Well son of a... Looks like Farmhouse: Home is the only farm-to-table restaurant left.

While I've never had the fund$ to indulge in the experience myself, I've been told the Bob Evans up that way has some pretty good bacon.

I've been to auctions and watched what the Bob Evans buyer was bidding on. If you would have seen what I saw numerous times, the only things you would eat there are eggs and toast!

My wife is a Casino person, so we will certainly be trying the Buffet at the Horseshoe. Thanks!

We had talked about a Chicago run, but.. I think we'll pass this time. I would love to hit a range up there, but my wife isnt THAT into it, so probably not. Also thought about hitting the Planetarium in Merrilville.

Just really going to play it by ear and enjoy a brief respite form reality lol
