If you're looking for the Surefire brand, then probably. ($1.75ea in quantities of 12 or 72).

The last quantity I bought was Panasonic CR123s, on Ebay, for less than a buck apiece delivered. Still using 'em.

Awesome, another question for you. Have you had any experience with 'off' brands?

Many folks whose opinions and experience I trust, tell me to avoid the generic/off-brand 123 batteries made in China. Something about them not being internally protected and having the potential to explode rather energetically. :nailbite:

How about batteries for my Aimpoint 9000 series red-dot? anybody know the number?

Per the Aimpoint website, it can use either the 2L76 or DL1/3N. I've bought mine locally at Radio Shack, but you can probably get better pricing online.

    get some at the 1500.

Sadly, my Philosophy class has been demanding a WHOLE lot of attention. I'm afraid I won't make it due to the need of starting on a major paper due next week. I'd rather gather the material and make a rough structure than stress out over it next week.

    :noway:

I think I am going to do the the Duracells that Shooter found on Amazon.

I am carrying a Surefire E2E with dealextreme (china direct) CR123 Batteries right now. I have not done a side-by-side with my surefire branded batts. But these seem okay to me.

For the price, and with DE having free shipping (from CHINA!!!), what's so bad about buying some and trying them out and seeing for yourself? That's what I decided to do.

Awesome, another question for you. Have you had any experience with 'off' brands?

I purchased 20 General Electric Sanyo batteries from Botach Tactical many years ago. I have never had a problem with Botach, but others have. I still have about 20 of those Sanyos left, and I don't know if I will ever use them before they go bad. Currently, Botach has a similar deal on the Rayovac brand:

    3-Volt Lithium Batteries 20/Pack

Oh, and they have some sort of 15% off deal going on. Read the banner at the top of the page.

I'm pretty darn happy with my UltraFire rechargeables. Just rotated the backup to my light and the other to the charger.

If you're really going to rely on the batteries, stick with the surefires. If you don't mind replacing the piece of equipment due to damage from a leaking battery, go with the cheap stuff.
