What is that line in the film, 'Police Academy', when Tackleberry asked what perfume she was wearing? :):

Just to let the ripple dwellers know.... IMPD is stepping up to take care of all the nonsense going on south of the strip by doing much more patrols so just as a heads up we will probably be reading more threads about LEO encounters in broad ripple.....

Odorless and water-based. What's not to like?

Slip is awesome, but he could always just choose to mind his own business and do whatever the heck he wants on his front porch.

OR, Break Free, CLP ..... :twocents:

He's worried about Hoppes and you are suggesting Break Free CLP?

How could aerosol ever be better for an infant than a liquid? The back of the can tells you to not breath in the vapors and use in a well-ventilated area.

And yes, I love Break Free too.:):

My bad, I've always used the aerosol...And I'll continue to on my front porch if I see fit.:D

Oddly enough - I usually feel sick after using Break Free. Maybe I'm not supposed to drink it?

    And....yet another vote for Slip2000. :D

duster, shooter is pointing out that there are aqueous based cleaning solutions available that will not harm the liver and pancreas.

When he drove off he gave me the evil eye while I just waved (didn't blow kisses, sorry Kirk)

Do what is in your heart. If it was not in your heart to blow kisses, then don't do it.

When my daughter visited recently with the grandson (3mos old). I deferred all gun cleaning activities until they went home. It was a tough week. I use Ballistol and am very happy with it. But I wouldn't expose those young lungs to that. +1 to the OP for exercising some common sense and also exercising his rights.

Ballistol is a non-petroleum based cleaner. If I remember correctly, it is used as an oral antiseptic in Europe.

The fumes from No. 9 stink up the place. I don't want him breathing that crap in.

My wife doesn't like me cleaning the guns in the house for the same reason. I have to go outside or at least in the basement. However, she doesn't mind the odor of her nail polish remover which makes me gag.:dunno:

No gun cleaning allowed in my house. I do the dirty deed out in the garage. Most of the time the door is open. Neighbors either don't care or don't notice.

I was cleaning guns out on the porch today (I can't clean in the house with an infant there) and after about an hour an IMPD car pulls up a couple houses down facing me. He watched for 10-15 minutes but never got out of his car. When he drove off he gave me the evil eye while I just waved (didn't blow kisses, sorry Kirk).

I'm guessing someone felt the need to call him in. He just looked sort of suspicious sitting there watching. But +1 for no encounter, as it should be.

Maybe he just thought your teenage daughter's boyfriend was coming over. :):
