Last time I was in Pops they allowed MG's as long as they are pistol caliber or .22lr. I shot Hops' MP5, it was a blast. I will say though, Pops is not my first choice of places to shoot as I never feel like the other occupants are being 100% safe, which is what I demand.

Midwest Gun and Range is an indoor machine gun friendly. I'm not 100% sure if it has to be theirs or not. I do know that they have an FN FAL rental and they also have a belt fed. Probably would have to contact them to see if it is restricted to rental machine guns or if you can bring in private owned.

ProTEQ in Brazil, IN is NFA friendly
Private Range, must be a member. $20 per yr membership fee and fill out some paperwork.
Range goes out to 300 but last I knew you must be pre-approved to use the 300 yard range because it doesn't have a very high backstop, and many inexperienced shooters fall short, the bullet digs in the dirt then goes over the backstop towards the neighbor's house.

Don't need to worry about possible rifle caliber with Midwest. Here is what they've usually got for rental. Machine Gun Rentals.

Bring your favorite firearm or rent one of ours!

Shoot calibers up to (and including) .308 (7.62x51 NATO).

    Midwest Gun and Range Allows:

    Air guns
    All hand guns
    Rifles up to .308
Shotguns (Sorry, no black powder, slugs only!)

St. Mary's Blue Creek Conservation Club southeast of Decatur is machine gun friendly. It was the closest range to Fort Wayne that I could find that would allow me to shoot my machine gun. 25 bucks a year.

Thanks. Does St. Mary's Blue Creek CC club allow just pistol caliber submachine guns on the pistol range or can rifle calibers shoot on the 100 and/or 200 yard range (depends a lot on the size of the back stop).

    ------

Back in the 90's one could shoot machine guns at the various state ranges, however, that changed with the change with the millennium and I had not expected to see as many ranges which allow machine guns as were reported. One would expect the tolerance of the various ranges will vary with time as the board members / owners change and the experiences with machine gun shooters - both positive due to the support members/shooters and negative due issues such as shooting over the back stop and/or unsafe conduct (one bad apple can spoil the bunch and the machine gunners are a higher profile and take the blame first, from what I have seen). As time goes on, please post any new ranges and/or changes in the general rules such as which ranges can be used and by what (i.e. sub guns, full auto rifles and belt guns).

Learn something new every day. Any other restrictions on time and usage beside I am assuming 22LR and straight wall pistol rounds?

There are no additional restrictions. If the range is open then you can shoot the allowed calibers at your descretion. MCFG doesnt say that MG are allowed it just doesnt say they are not. As someone once told me dont give them a reason to make a rule against MG and all will be fine.

Sounds like you are shooting a subgun and probably good enough information until someone needs to use larger, then can worry about it. Something along the lines as mjrducky stated "As someone once told me dont give them a reason to make a rule against MG and all will be fine."

Correct for the most part, but approved cartridge list is on the website. As long as it's there, it can be fired in any firearm.

Thanks, updated the list with link to the approved cartridge list, which is in general classic straight walled pistol rounds plus two that have been interesting in friend's Tittle II firearms - 7.62x25 and 5.7x28.
