    The other thing the 336 is noted for is the firing pin spring. It has a two piece firing pin and a flat spring to hold the pieces in line. The turn down keeper on the end of the spring always breaks off and this causes wear issues if not replaced. For one, the leaver opens the bolt applying direct pressure to the cut out in the firing pin. It will damage the lobe on the end of the lever and both the front and rear part to the firing pin. These springs are available from Numrich for just under $5 but shipping will eat you up. I suggest multiples and if your order is over $75 the shipping is free.
