Ruger 22/45 or mark series are some of the best 22 pistols on the market but look into a Buckmark as well .both are in the price range.Had a buddy who had a Walther 22 & the plastic bits began falling off including the front sight

    It Really Does Work

I have a Chiappa 1911 22lr pistol. Now let me start out by saying, this
is not a high quality pistol. However, they can be had where I live, for
$229- $249. Mine is accurate, very easy to take down and clean. Once
I got through the 300 round break in period, I can go to the range, shoot
150 - 200 rounds with rarely an issue, or no issue at all.
I am well over 2000 rounds now, and it is very reliable.
I would have bought a GSG, but they are $100 - $120 more where I
live, and money was tight at the time.
    My 2 cents.

I see that no one has mentioned the CZ Kadet .22lr top end kit or complete pistol.
As far as I'm aware it is the only .22lr pistol that uses a real centerfire frame/lower end that is fully interchangeable between the upper kit and a real lower/frame.

From what I have gathered when you buy a complete CZ Kadet ..22lr pistol what you are getting is a .22lr Kadet conversion kit mated to a real prodution CZ-75 frame.
The one advantage the complete pistol has is the .22lr upper is tightly mated to it virgin frame which should make it a bit more accurate.

From the reviews I've read it is nearly as accurate as some dedicated target pistols.
