I enjoyed reading "The Remaining" by D.J. Moles.

Its a series book that isn't done yet.

i would second this series. I was looking for something to read while traveling and stumbled across this looking for cheap books. I don't read for fun and ended up reading all 4 in a couple weeks.

If you're into comics and don't have a problem with ridiculously graphic violence and rape and whatnot, you might check out Crossed. You can read a good chunk of it on ebaums world for free, but it is more annoying than reading it as a book obviously. The beginning: Crossed - Issue 0: Prologue - Gallery
