Most of the greats have multiple rings and not have been to the Super Bowl many times... Elway says manning is a better qb then he was but Elway went to many Super Bowls and division games and got back to back rings..... One thing to set records... Another to set a few records but win games that count.

What gets me the most fired up is all the people that blame everyone but manning and act like he is perfect....

Hey, I'm a UF grad, and Manning never beat the Gators while I was there (Can't spell Citrus without UT). I never thought that Manning could win the BIG one, and when the Colts drafted him I was one of his detractors. I ate a lot of crow after he won his SB.
I think he is probably the best QB to play the game, just stuck with a neverending 80s era Jordan team.

Yeah, I remember that one. He also got released shortly after the super bowl.

Not in a MILLION YEARS.... I hate the Steelers, but their 76 Defense was easily the greatest. No one comes close, except maybe the 85 Bears, and when I say "close," I mean like 10 miles away.

I love the hypocrisy of the Peytons worshipers...if the team wins, its ALL peytons doing. When the team loses, its not Peytons fault (even tho he turns the ball over MULTIPLE times....usually in the clutch (does anyone remember the Colts/ N'leans super bowl and the pick 6 that won the game for the Aints?? didnt think so)), then we hear "it takes a team."

They barely needed that offense - that was the best defense (actually, the best one-year team) I ever saw. What they did in the NFC playoffs (pitching two consecutive shutouts on the way to the Super Bowl) will never be repeated.

Watched that Super Bowl in Hawaii....a 46-10 thumping. Ditka should've let Payton score (something he's always said he regretted).

Not denying how formidable that D was...but i am thinking the Crows D was pretty awesome in its own right.

Guess we'll just have to agree that the 4 time NFL MVP, Superbowl Champion, Superbowl MVP, RECORD 12 time pro-bowl QB isn't your favorite player. There is literally nothing you can say that will change any of the facts I listed. I'd ask who your favorite player is, but I simply don't care about other people's likes and dislikes as much as others seem to.

Not in 06' The supposed "worst run defense in the league" stepped up big in the playoffs. Other than that year I completely agree. Although, there were times when the offense was the primary culprit for a playoff exit.

Its HIS F ups that do his team in EVERY time...Picks and fumble sin the clutch..the guy just cant win the big games...The guy is not a choke artist, hes the KING of choke artists.
