    O.k. you Ingo 1911 guru's, I have a problem.
I have a couple of full size 1911's, 5" barrels.
I love them all, as I should, but I have the same problem with all 3 guns.
Occasionally I will go to unholster and find my magazine is unlatched.

Somehow, when I move, I am managing to hit the mag release.
    Anyone else have this issue?
I'm wearing a good leather Bianco holster on a good gun belt.

I thought about a shoulder rig but that won't work for the summer.

Second vote for 1791, I have several including a 5" 1911 that I'm carrying right now. Good high quality holsters. Dealing with the company is very easy too. You can order direct or on Amazon.

Nice, but I really want a retention strap.
    I'm sure they are available.
Have you ever had the problem I described?

The Galco Fletch has a retention strap and carries well.

I think you must have an issue with the mag release on the gun. I have never had that issue with any of my guns or holsters. I had a Kimber that the safety would knock off too easy.

    Here's what I use.
(Gun & Flower: OWB Holster Compatible with 5'' 1911 No Rail, Fits 1911)
Never had a Mag problem with any of my 1911's.

Anyone have one for the compact? My main complaint with the one I use now is it hangs too low. I’ve worn it for a couple years and it’s about ready for a replacement.

I've got that magazine holster too signature brown color.

My holster could use a good conditioning. The mag pouch sees less use. I have a kydex single mag I use most of the time out of convenience.
My bottom end is crimped a smidge as it's a CMD size. I would rather have an extra bit covering the muzzle and sight than the optic cut version (BH1s?) that fits 4.25"ers.

@Mgderf did you get your thumb break version? Forgot to ask earlier.
