    "the firing of the fatal shot may have been an accident" - out of interest how many people deliberately pick up a pistol, deliberately point it at their head, and deliberately pull the trigger by accident?

    Surely if the husband is said to have experience in firearms based on military and LEO experience then the wife could also be said to have similar experience. If she was so emotionally unstable was her employer aware, especially as they furnished her with a sidearm?

    Well, that's two things. How many people intentionally dry fire at their own head? You'd probably be surprised. Facebook shenanigans alone show it's more than zero. How many of those turn out to not be dry fires? No idea.
