LWRCI is one of the best. I don't see why HK holds superiority. I guess to each his own.
I'd rather have a LWRCI or LaRue over an HK.
    American made and all that....
I love my American firearms, but I will say, its a tough choice when a G3 is in the mix.
I was at a HK class long ago and were were shooting MP5's, one student had a squib and the instructor was screaming at him to just shoot the gun.
He shot it and was back in the game. End result was a bulged barrel, They build tough firearms.

:dunno: the rifle I posted is an LMT. American as it gets. This thread is about rifles. The only reason I posted it along side my MK23 is because it's probably the only pistol I own that's more expensive than something Dean owns. It was mostly a playful jab at him. Also the MK23 was developed for American special forces so....

I'll let you, Dean, and Kirk contend for the most expensive rifles ;)

Military contracts , LMT and H&K actually have legit military contracts. LWCI has a few but they are mostly specialty Saudi stuff in 6.8.

The Tier chart is mostly for “fun" as has been pointed out already IMHO. I have the best guns I can responsibility afford I am more than happy with my "B Tier" rifle.

I'm here now, I'll mock Colt ALL DAY LONG for you - if you'd like PM me and I'll give you my phone number just to have someone to constantly mock Colt to. It's a hobby. I won't say anything bad about the 6920, except that it's not the end all be all that so many think it is.
A voice of reason, thank goodness.

You people need to get your gear together and buy your tickets.

What else you gotta do in the winter on a Saturday ?

You get a get a chance to run your rifles, you can bring what you want AK, BREN, MCX, G3, M1 Carbine are examples its all good.

We might get a chance to see if your rifle works in bad weather.

You don’t have to run if you can’t just walk we want everyone to get the training. We do however train in all weather conditions. So be prepared. Hint we often see malfunctions due to weather.

$110.00 is a great deal! We are not paid it’s all volunteer we want to share our training and experience.

Just to a look at the instructor list it’s an all star event.

Ok another great Carbine class is in the book.

We had one AK and one weird Beretta thingy.

Quite a few self induced malfunctions not the weapons fault.

    Here are my notes.

BCM intermittent failure to fire I think something was up with the bolt.

PSA Not doing good several malfunctions of various types.

    Anderson couple failures to extract.

    The AK was 100%!

    Notes
Know the manual of arms for the AR.
Slap and pull on the magazine
    After reloading release the bolt
Know how to use your sling when switching from strong side to weak.

It would be interesting to know how the BCM issue plays out.

ETA: who would have expected anything else from the AK?

Now I'm gonna chime in, I was hoping this thread would die, but ...... it's not the "quality" eerrrrrr I mean brand name of the rifle it's the marksman squeezing the trigger.
Also for get the cost it's the sum of the parts......a "top tier " manufacturer gives you an 8 pound GI trigger but charges you $99.99 for the same mill-spec trigger from a bottom end maker is $1.98 ..........top tier should offer match grade triggers, chromed bolts, and rifle length barrels.
I have seen plenty of lower end rifles pick up several medals and wins in both the NRA & CMP matches.

My match rifle is made mid ranges parts (according to your chart) and will shoot 600 yard score the high end rifles can't do at 100 yards

    Kohler, out!
