I would fight against this. Don't want it, and it would represent the actual "camel's nose under the tent" that so many speciously fear regarding national reciprocity.

Knowing that many of us would oppose something like that, I am willing to bet that it is exactly what they would propose. Then when it fails to get public support, they can say they tried, without actually having to pass something that actually would relax 2A infringements.

I am beginning to think your online persona believes the whole elephant must be swallowed or its just not worth the effort :D

My beliefs are quite popular among elderly wise Chinamen. ;)

Americans typically protest and set things on fire when they are exposed to too much truth.

Yes, we do, it's why our rulers lie to us so much.

    I currently abide in Crawfordsville.

No we don't and I protest.....I still need your home address.....Crawfordsville would require more accelerrant than I currently have.

Before I give you my address, how can I be absolutely sure that investigators will or won't check the debris for evidence of accelerrants?

Please bear with me here, it will make a difference to the specifics of the insurance policy I will be purchasing later this afternoon. I want to ensure a huge profit for myself if anything 'unimaginable' or even 'unexpected' should suddenly just happen to my deteriorating and costly, possibly asbestos-filled, house. ;)

    Where's the bacon?

It's more that he puts his sights on the actual target, rather than apply "Kentucky windage". Once there, he has found the correct target and continues to hammer at it.

Having seen him shoot, I cannot argue with this method, either in politics or in marksmanship.

It does include the possibility of disappointment, yes. What do you then do with your disappointment, when you get a "flyer" away from the bullseye, but still on the target? That's right... you keep shooting at the same target. You might adjust your sights, or your body position, but once you're where you need to be, why change?

    Blessings,
    Bill

Let's assume, hypothetically, of course, that you are arrested and charged for carrying a handgun without a license...and that you don't have a license. Sure, unlikely, but possible. What then?

I hold your same view of the 2A. Unfortunately, many prosecutors, judges and potential jurors do not. And since someone has to put food in my kids mouth, I'm not really willing to bet their welfare on an assumption that other people agree with me. You might see that as cowardly. I see it as practical. But I support your efforts.

I figured that would be your answer.

I'm sure it's happened, but I'm also sure it's way less than half of the cases charged. Why not get rid of the law?

I support repealing the law, if that's your thing. Whether it's nullified or gone, I'll be pleased. :)
