I'm sure it's not the worst thing ever used as a gun lube, but I think I'll save it for the kitchen.

I think companies make cleaners, lubricants, solvents, and, grease for a reason.

In my opinion, you should use the right tool for the job.

Any oil can lubricate a gun - what you run into is impurities in the oil, the oil drying out faster than usual, some oils are 'slicker' than others, etc.

Will it work? Probably - should you do it? Well... If it's all you have.

Yeah and WD40 makes great lube for pistols too
WD40 does not make a great lube because WD40 is not a lube. WD40 is a Water Displacer [Water Displacer 40 - WD-40].

It will work for a short bit until it evaporates and then you have nothing at all but metal on metal.

[And yes, I saw it was purple.]

I'm more interested in the cotton candy link. I'll be plastering that link everywhere! I really can't stop! It gets better the more I watch!

    Really? Weird.

What color is it after it evaporates?

It doesn't degrade metal/plastic. I was just wondering what you all thought about it. There are better/other options, but that doesn't mean you're not wasting your money on lube that does the job for 10$ more. Also, if you haven't seen the guy eating cotton candy backward..I will give you all another chance:

Close Mike, but actually it leaves a sticky "Gum"

    Really? Weird.

What color is it after it evaporates?

About the same shade of brown that you see in piles along the curb of city streets.

looks like someone is trying to boost his post count to get to the lubrication section

Post count already hit-for classified AND lube section.
