    Between Greenwood and Martinsville
USN MM AS-34 Canopus Kings Bay GA. Sub Squad 16 Tender, Desert Storm/Sheild. Left the pier once to shake the cobwebs out of the old girl, lost a lube oil pump on the way to Jamaica and turned back to the pier....really ticked me off as we had 5 other running pumps and 6 backup pumps just sitting there. My boat is gone now, de-commisioned for the third time and I suspect used for target practice. I don't have to tell you guys what we had on board being a sub tender and all, not even part of a fleet.

UGH!! Here's one... Went to Pisgah national forest in NC for "cold weather" training prior to a det in Norway. Never under 70 degrees in the forest. ... 10 degrees in Norway! !!! Two weeks after the return from Norway, Rosie Roads PR, 90 degrees and humid as hell with their "national bird" swarming the whole time...Mosquitos, for the uninitiated.

I've posted a couple of times now and gotten responses from veterans my question to you INGO is who here is a vet what branch your served in, duty stations, deployments, and MOS? I'll start Im a Active Duty Marine 0352 with the 7th MAR REG Gunners Cadre currently ive served with 1st Tank BTL AT TOW plt, and the 7th REG PSD ive spent all my time at 29 palms Ca and have an upcoming deployment to Afghanistan.:ar15::ar15::ar15::biggun::biggun::biggun::biggun::biggun::biggun::biggun:

I have posted in these threads before. So this time all you get is a hint. I started life out in the USMC as a 0351 (106 Recoilless Rifle, M202 which was supposed to replace the 3.5 inch rocker launcher (Bazooka) but didn't so we trained on both, what fun.) I ended up an old scarred up SNCO.

    Ripper, Thanks for serving.
I was in the Navy for a few years.
I rode around on a boat, went places, and drank beer.

Didnt know the Army had divers thought Navy and us had that department completely. Sounds fun! :patriot:

Lol, yes they do, and I didn't know either untill I got to Eustis with my orders and they told me I was going to that unit...I thought I was being screwed with. But it ended up being the best duty station and guys you could ask for IMHO. They do some pretty cool stuff and let me tag around with them (well they had to if they wanted their stuff to stay running, lol).
