Got a text from the emergency system saying

Purdue WL Critical: Purdue Police and Fire have responded to intentionally set fires in Earhart Hall. Both were set between 4- 6pm today.

Earhart hall is a residency building containing a dining hall.

Havent seen a news report on it yet.

Hopefully it’s OK, I am quite fond of that building spent many summers there for 4-H camp and that’s actually where I first met my wife

Earhart Hall:

Purdue Police and Purdue Fire Departments have responded to two intentionally set fires in restrooms of Earhart Hall. Paper towels and towel rolls were set on fire – both burned themselves out. Fires were set between 4pm and 6pm today.

And it looks like a similar event happened in
Owen Hall:

UPDATE: A similar fire was set in Owen Hall around the same time today. If you have any information about these fires, please contact PUPD at 911 or 765-494-8221.

Yeah, it's been a while. Long story short - I'm a few hours south of Indiana on 65 these days. Should have my degree from Purdue in May.

Todd Young ran into a buzz saw.

Not hard enough, but I don't know how effective buzz saws are on slime.

Hopefully, they would be arsonist get a net thrown on them soon at least before they figure out how to actually set a fire good.

Yeah. I hope they catch the culprit(s). I haven't seen any updates on this.
