Smithinsky, and Wessonovich.......Just kidding, It's neat what ever it is. Try some closer shots of the writing, someone on here will know!

Got a magnifying glass on the barrel- the letters do look familiar , but running in different directions and , well, weird. I'll try and borrow a good camera. Pretty realistic S@W copy, for sure. Thanks all!!

Barrel writing is too blurry for me to see.
that being said, I have owned several Spanish and Belgian S&W copies over the years. Most of the have ‘bad English’ writing on them. They were either made for export to those in America who didn’t know or didn’t care or for local sales to those who didn’t know English and would assume they were proper.
I’ve never seen a Mid East Smith copy, but I’m sure they are out there. Other Mid East guns I have seen have pretty much gibberish on them to fool folk who definitely don’t speak English.

ETA: good grief; I typed this last night before bed. Making fun of others English and spelling and mine was horrible!!

The Spanish did make a lot of S&W revolver copies. From what I can see of the lettering, though, it looks almost Greek. Better photos of the lettering would go a long way in helping with an ID.

"Gibberish" is a good description. You may have nailed it
