Depends on what part of the state you're in. In NWI, Blythe's in Griffith has them in stock. Dat's all I know.

I found it difficult to seat the mag as well. With the slide locked back is fine for loading at the range, but for 7+1 you got to shove it in closed. This is my carry method, most everyone I would think.

Dont lock the slide back with one in the chamber, then look to seat the mag with "greater" ease. You get 6+2, or something more stupid.

I know you were not implying this, but I wanted to clear up any confusion.

Locked the slide, and the mag slid right in. The only time I see this being a problem is if I shoot for sport, and need to reload with one in the chamber. Looks like I have an excuse to buy another gun.

The Shield seems to be really catching on well. Could be one of the best sellers of 2012.

Safety is no problem just don't use it.
