    Did you ever try lapua brass?

    Yeah...it works great. You know you got too much pressure when you blow out a primer in Lapua brass (thanks a lot hot day and W760).

    That said, Nosler has required absolutely zero prep and I haven't toasted primer pockets with it like some have reported.

    I run 43-43.2gr H4350 with a 140gr A-Max and both brass types seem to do just fine.

    If you put a quality bullet where it needs to go? Sure. The 6.5x55 Swede has been killing moose for over a century and Mauser velocities are way lower than either the Creed or 260.

    260 can kill any game animal just as dead as any 308.

    IMO, magnums are grossly overrated.
    i agree 44-40 did it for years, i though of using my 44mag rifle i know it will level a elk fine if i do my job.

    I have 9 firings on some brass of a 140 amax over 43.5 gr of h4350
