Well, I spent a few days with the knives from Shadow Tech and to say that I'm really impressed.

Out of the 5 they sent me, the 9" Ranger Tonto Bowie & the Scorpion were my favorite. The Ranger is nearly perfectly balanced and feels great in hand. I have held some pretty expensive knives in my time and can say without doubt that none felt as good as the Ranger (ands its half the price).

The Scorpion is an odd creature but there is something really appealing about it. It's simple, built like a freight train and yet holds a really nice edge. Being a huge fan of function over form this one really put a spell on me.

The one thing they all had in common was their sheaths which are really, really impressive for how basic they are. Up to 32 different mounting positions are possible and they work equally well for both righties & lefties. I went on a 3 hour hike with two of the larger models mounted upside down & vertical with no problems at all. They sit snug no matter what.

Really impressed. Will probably be hanging on to a couple and returning a check in their place.
