I had that happen with a Mexican Coke a few weeks ago. First time I've ever had that happen. Normal top; not twist.

Although, I always use an opener with twist offs; I've had a few slice my hand before. I may have to get one of those bar style openers pictured above.

Work the opener slightly two or three times as you rotate the bottle to loosen it before you make the last leverage to take the cap off. The new bottles are not as robust as the old longnecks, esp the ones you can twist off.

    Between corn and soybean fields.
Yup, they're twist offs. A fews years ago when bartending for a wedding at the IMU in Bloomington I was in my zone, and in the habbit of serving beer that required the bottle opener someone ordered (I forget the beer) and I shattered the neck of the beer in my hands. Not fun.

Now I check to see if they're twist off or pop off first :)
