Here is my Remington, I just bought a couple of Mossburg 500's I want to build up. Lets see some pics of various Tac 12ga and share some ideas. All Makes All Modles, Bring em on!
Here are some new pics, added the side shell carriers and replaced the breacher barrels w/ Remmy LE barrels w/ rifle sights. And no, you are not seeing double, one for me and my teenager.
And he did an excellent job with the build-- I was very impressed.
The day those pictures were taken we did a quick informal test of various ammo. The difference between regular 00 buck from S&B vs. 'Low-recoil' Federal 00 buck with Flitecontrol is AMAZING, both in felt recoil and pattern. At 25 feet away the Federal put all 9 pellets into a group smaller than my fist, with no harsh effect on my shoulder. Very cool stuff.
In Indiana, they must have an 18" barrel minimum. Many manufactures are in the habit of going to 18.5" to ensure that they are on the right side of the law.
In other states, however, they allow short-barreled shotguns, as long as they are registered with the ATF (like SBRs here in Indiana).
Indiana does allow things like the Serbu Super Shorty, classified as an AOW. This is a very short shotgun, but with a pistol grip only (no stock).
